Testing in small spaces

The ArenaGeare gates use a powerful infrared beam. When testing in small spaces the beam bounces off the walls and ceilings, making the beam hard to block so the gates can’t detect when you walk between the gray and black boxes so the timer seems to not work.

Equestrian gates are particularly powerful since the beam is designed to reach up to about 200 feet. Barrel Racing, Show Jumping, and other WIDE gates will not work properly until the distance between the gray and its corresponding black box is at least 20-60 feet or more.

Please do not test the gates inside your home or in other small rooms, they are designed to work on more open spaces
